Broccoli Casserole Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 2 boxes - or 3 boxes of chopped broccoli
  • - juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/3 sticks - to 2/3 stick butter or oleo
  • 1/2 cups - green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cups - chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cups - chopped bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons - Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoons - red pepper
  • 1 cans - cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 ounces - roll of garlic cheese, sliced into thin rounds
  • - bread crumbs and butter, for topping
  • Directions:

    Cook broccoli by directions on box, adding the juice of 1 lemon. Strain in colander.

    Saute the onions, parsley and bell pepper in butter. Add the Worcestershire sauce, red pepper, mushroom soup and then the garlic cheese.

    After sauce is well blended, put the broccoli into a casserole and stir sauce over it. Top with bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes.

    This dish may be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until meal time.
