  • 8 slices - bread
  • - butter or margarine
  • 1 pounds - bulk pork sausage
  • 1 1/2 cups - cheddar cheese
  • 8 - eggs
  • 2 cups - milk
  • 1 teaspoons - salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons - pepper
  • Directions:

    Remove crusts from bread slices; spread bread slices with butter. Place in a 13x9-inch baking dish and set aside. Cook sausage until brown, stirring to crumble; drain well. Spoon over bread slices; sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper; mix well and pour over cheese. Cover casserole and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake casserole, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until set.

    Brief Description

    This casserole can be put together the night before and then baked in the morning.
