Ingredients:

Mix together
  • 2 1/4 cups - sugar
  • 3 cups - flour (unbleached), It is fine if you cannot find unbleached
  • 1 teaspoons - cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons - nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons - baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  • 1 1/2 cups - oil (Canola)
  • Add
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  • 2 cups - grated raw, peeled apples, 2 large delicious apples
  • Glaze
  • 3/4 cups - sugar
  • 1/2 cups - milk
  • 1 sticks - oleo, Fleischmann's Oriignal Margarine

  • Directions:

    Cake: Mix together the first group of ingredients listed above. Add the second group of ingredients listed above. Bake in greased and floured 9" x 13" pan for 1 hour & 15 minutes at 300 degrees.
    Glaze: Mix the third group of ingredients listed above. Boil for a few minutes. Punch holes in hot cake with toothpick, then pour glaze over cake.
