Aunt Genie Barrow’s Chicken Tetrazzini Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 2 - large onions, chopped
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cloves - garlic, diced, or use garlic powder
  • 1 cups - water
  • 1 cans - mushroom soup
  • 1 cans - sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cans - tomato sauce, small cans
  • 2 tablespoons - worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dashes - tabasco sauce
  • - salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 - pimentos, chopped, for color
  • 1 - boiled hen, 4 lbs., chopped, or any cut up chicken
  • 1/2 pounds - Velveeta cheese, diced
  • 1 1/2 packages - spaghetti noodles, about 10-12 ounces, thin
  • 1/2 pints - cream
  • Directions:

    In a bit of oil, saute onions, pepper, garlic; add water and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add mushroom soup, mushrooms, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, tobasco, salt and pepper, pimentos, and chicken.
    Then before serving stir in Velveeta cheese.
    While vegetables are cooking, cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions.
    Stir noodles with chicken mixture, and pour cream over all and warm through.
