Apple-Walnut Cake Tell a Friend

Ingredients:

  • 1 cups - margarine
  • 2 cups - sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 3 cups - flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons - baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  • 1 teaspoons - cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons - nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons - vanilla
  • 3 cups - chopped apples
  • 1 1/2 cups - walnuts or pecans, up to 2 cups, as desired
  • Directions:

    Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time.

    Mix in dry ingredients, adding gradually. Stir in vanilla, apples and walnuts (or pecans).

    Batter will be stiff. Spoon into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 325 degrees F for 75 minutes. Let cool in pan 10 minutes; remove to plate.
