Apple Cider Autumn Sangria Tell a Friend

  • 2 - cinnamon sticks, plus more for serving
  • 2 - medium apples (Honeycrisp or Gala), thinly sliced
  • 1 - medium pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 - medium orange, thinly sliced
  • 2/3 cups - pomegranate seeds
  • 1 bottles - pinot grigio (750 ml)
  • 2 cups - apple cider
  • 1/4 cups - brandy
  • 1/4 cups - orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons - lemon juice
  • - club soda, for serving
  • - figs, optional
  • Cinnamon Sugar Rim
  • 2 tablespoons - cane sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoons - cinnamon
  • - pinch of salt
  • - lemon slices
  • Directions:

    Place cinnamon sticks and fruit slices into a large pitcher.

    Add wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice and lemon juice. Allow to sit in fridge from 3 to 24 hours (around 6 to 8 hours is best).

    Optional - Before serving, prepare glasses with cinnamon sugar rim:
    In a shallow bowl or dish, stir together cinnamon, sugar and salt. Wet the rim of the glasses, running a slice of lemon around each one. Dip rims into cinnamon mixture and then fill glasses with sangria.

    Pour sangria and fruit into glasses. Add a splash of club soda, if desired, and garnish with a cinnamon stick or sprig of mint.
